Engage in Disability Studies
Disability Studies is an academic field that is both interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary. Scholarship from a vast array of disciplines including social work, anthropology, philosophy, sociology, communication and media studies, economics, political science, architecture, law, gender studies, literature, and the arts (to name a few) contribute to this field.

Texas Technology Access Program
TCDS is home to the state's assistive technology program, the Texas Technology Access Program (TTAP). TTAP leads the state's efforts to carry out the federal 21st Century Assistive Technology Act. Additional information on state AT Programs can be found at the National Assistive Technology Act Technical Assistance and Training (AT3) Center.
TTAP provides AT Device Loans, Demonstration Centers, Recycle/Reuse Programs, and Financing. They also provide AT training, information and assistance, public awareness, technical assistance, and custom activities. Please contact us for any of these services.

Here at the Texas Center for Disability Studies, we are committed to engaging the community through tabling events, information dissemination, autism screenings, technology demonstrations. We also offer research and post-secondary education opportunities, and are happy to speak and present at your next event!
