Bio
Catherine “Kate” Harwood is a recent graduate (MSSW) from the Steve Hicks School of Social Work. Her research experience relates to pediatric to adult healthcare transition for individuals with childhood-onset conditions. Kate completed the Texas Partners in Policy Making program. She is interested in the legislative process and using stories to empower social change. As a self-advocate living with physical disabilities, Kate finds meaning in using her own experiences to help others.
Career Goal
To breakdown barriers for people with autism, cerebral palsy, and similar disabilities.
