Bio
Angela possesses an undergraduate degree in Health Education and a Master’s degree in Business Management. My education and career protectory initially were to become a CEO of a healthcare system but changed direction upon the birth of my children. I work full time at American Heart Association as an Associate Manager, Research Operations. My interest with ACT/LEND is to learn more about the IDD community policies, develop leadership skills and be a resource and educate families who may not feel they have a voice to advocate for their rights. My quest is to break down barriers within certain systems that were not structurally designed to be equal for all. To be the change I desire to see.
Career Goal
My goal after completing this cohort is to gain focused education on ways to understand policy/ lead/advocate and be a resource to the Autism/IDD community and their families.
