Alexis Bacon-Yates (She/hers) is a second-year doctoral student in Equity and Diversity in Special Education. She earned her Master's degree at the University of Oregon with an endorsement in early intervention / early childhood special education and a teaching license. During her Master's program, she focused on providing culturally appropriate services and support to young bilingual learners and their families. 

Her research interests include examining how educational and medical systems support culturally and/or linguistically diverse children experiencing a disability and their families. She hopes to use research to develop equitable, meaningful, and accessible systems for historically marginalized children experiencing a disability and their families.
