Teacher's Assistant

E4Texas Program

Alex is a strong advocate for people with disabilities and serves as a teaching assistant, job coach, and mentor for E4Texas.

Originally from the small town of Dilley, TX, Alex moved to the big city of Austin to join the E4Texas program, where he gained job training and education. During his time in the program, he learned about disability rights and history, which inspired him to take action.

In the spring semester of 2023, Alex drafted a bill to mandate the teaching of disability rights and history in K-12 schools. He continues to advocate for this bill to become law and remains committed to fighting for what is right.
