Opal Irvin is married with two children. She has a son, Casey who is 24 years old and is on the Autism Spectrum. Her daughter, Chelsea is 22 years old and is currently in her third year of college. Opal has served on the Dime Box ISD School Board for 10 years and graduated from Partners in Policymaking and the Leadership Texas Association of School Boards (TASB). She was appointed by the Governor of Texas to serve on the Autism Committee for two years.
