The Texas Center for Disability Studies, the Sonoran UCEDD, and people with intellectual disabilities will collaborate to create an awareness training focused on the education of health influencers to include people who have intellectual disabilities in efforts to address obesity. The training will incorporate in-person training, online modules, and a social media campaign and will largely focus on how to create enabling environments to combat obesity inclusively. This project is sponsored by the Association of University Centers on Disability via Special Olympics and the Centers for Disease Control.
