BridgingApps is a program of Easter Seals Greater Houston that provides resources, education, and information on apps and mobile devices to help people with disabilities target and improve skills to reach their highest levels of physical, social, and cognitive development. We are a community of parents, therapists, teachers, and people with disabilities who share information on how we are using mobile devices with people of all ages who have special needs. We manage a database of around 2,700 apps—both Apple and Android—that have been identified as helpful for a variety of needs. Participants will learn how to navigate the app database so that they can search for apps on their own and get the most out of this amazing FREE tool! We will also share an overview of TexasYouth2Adult.com, an easy-to-use FREE platform designed to help engage and empower families, including youth, to begin planning early, ask the right questions and find information to prepare and successfully make the transition into adulthood.
