Presented by Daryl Scott, M.D., Ph.D., attendees of this program will be able to describe terms used to describe the type, severity, pattern, and laterality of various types of hearing loss, describe isolated and syndromic forms of hearing loss and their causes, and explain how genetic test results can inform hearing loss management.

Joining Dr. Scott will be Laura Buckner, M.Ed, LPC/Program Manager Texas Center for Disability Studies at UT Austin. She will present on Person-centered practices to help parents guide their families through a diagnosis of hearing.

Texas Children’s Hospital is accredited with distinction as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
