Texas Center for Disability Studies: Coronavirus/COVID-19 Center Update

AUSTIN, Texas — The Texas Center for Disability Studies at the University of Texas at Austin (TCDS) is proceeding with modified-open, work from home schedules for our staff for the indefinite future. Our focus continues on ensuring, as effectively as we can, the best outcomes possible for our staff, students, partners, and community members as we respond to the situation.

Out of an abundance of caution for our consumers and employees, the Texas Technology Access Program (TTAP) device loan program is on hold until April 10, 2020, at which time we will review the situation. Additionally, TTAP Demonstration Centers have been directed to follow protocols designated by host organizations in regard to person-to-person meetings. This will vary from center to center, so please contact them directly for more information.

The safety and health of our community is our highest priority. The TCDS is following guidelines established by the University of Texas at Austin. We encourage all community members to take preventive measures to promote hygiene and to avoid unnecessary physical contact. We will continue to provide regular updates to our community via our newsletterFacebook, and Twitter.
