Ryan Voth

Ryan Voth is an MSSW student at the University of Texas at Austin with a background in psychology and experience in mental health, teaching, research, and community engagement. Originally from Argentina and bilingual in English and Spanish, Ryan has a particular interest in working with immigrant and Latino communities and promoting culturally responsive mental health services. Before beginning his graduate studies, he worked in various roles within healthcare in home, business and hospital settings. His research experiences have included examining racial perceptions, differences in morality, and disability. Through the SALUD project, Ryan hopes to continue developing his research skills while contributing to research that improves understanding and support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Ryan aspires to become a clinical social worker and therapist, integrating psychological theories with social work's person-in-environment perspective to provide a holistic approach to clinical practice. He is keeping an open mind about his future career, including the possibility of private practice or working abroad. Outside of school and research, Ryan enjoys playing soccer, hosting game nights, and traveling, with a long-term goal of visiting every continent.
