Philip is a third-year medical student at Dell Medical School. Prior to medical school, he spent two years teaching high school physics in the Houston Independent School District, where he worked with students from a wide range of educational, linguistic, and developmental backgrounds. His experiences as both a teacher and medical student have shaped his interest in disability advocacy and improving care for individuals with neurodevelopmental disabilities across the lifespan.
Alongside his medical degree, Philip is pursuing a master’s degree in educational psychology. His professional interests include pediatrics, internal medicine, disability justice, health policy, and addressing gaps in care for individuals with neurodevelopmental disabilities, particularly in hospital settings and during the transition from pediatric to adult care.
