Psychologist
Nazanin is an assistant professor at the UTRGV School of Social Work and mother of two girls. She enjoys lifting, cycling and gardening! Dr. Heydarian is passionate about promoting opportunities and conditions for all to be healthy, thrive, and engage in their communities. This passion directs her research in promoting diabetes self-management (closing the gap between blind and non-blind people) as well as her teaching - training an evidence-based minded clinician workforce with skills in disability competent care. As a non-driver, Dr. Heydarian advocates for improvements in her community to enhance safe and efficient mobility for all travelers.
