Naiya Vasquez-Castaneda

Audiology

Naiya Vasquez-Castaneda is a second-year audiology doctoral student at The University of Texas at Austin. Naiya graduated from George Washington University, where she majored in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences and minored in Linguistics. During her three years in Washington, DC, she continued learning American Sign Language (ASL) and immersed herself in DC’s vibrant Deaf community.  
 
Naiya’s clinical research focuses on clinicians providing comprehensive, compassionate care to neurodiverse patients in both English and Spanish. As a 5th-generation Mexican-American, Naiya is committed to supporting and advocating for underserved populations in her community.
