Madi is a graduate student at UT Austin, under the college of Nursing in the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program. Her current role as a psychiatric nurse involves working with a high percentage of children on the autism spectrum. As a person with autism/ADHD, she is extremely passionate about healthcare and its impact on the neurodivergent population. She received her undergraduate degree in psychology from Texas A&M, so psychology has always been her passion and personal special interest.
Early diagnosis and intervention are something she wants to prioritize in her future career. Her long-term career goal is to dual certify as a Psychiatric and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, conducting screenings at young ages to provide resources and support to patients and their families.
