Special Education

Casey-Ray is a master's student at UT Austin in the Early Childhood Intervention program within the College of Education to receive her BCBA. For the past two years, she has worked as a Registered Behavior Technician, where her young clients have been her greatest teachers, reminding her every day that behavior is communication and solidifying her passion for working with children. She hopes ACT LEND will deepen her interdisciplinary training and prepare her to bring family-centered, culturally responsive care into every setting she works in.

Casey-Ray earned her bachelor's degree from UT Austin in Behavioral Science with a concentration in Data Science, along with certificates in Pre-Health Professions and Spanish for the Health Professions. She has experiences in childhood developmental research and is drawn to the intersection of science, medicine, and child development, particularly how data and ABA principles can be integrated into pediatric healthcare for Spanish-speaking and other historically underserved families. Long term, Casey-Ray plans to attend medical school and become a pediatrician specializing in inclusive, early-intervention-informed care.
