Avery is a third-year doctoral student in the School Psychology Program at Baylor University. She obtained her bachelor's degree in psychology from Creighton University. Her clinical and research interests focus on autism and other developmental disabilities, with a particular emphasis on early identification, culturally responsive assessment, and equitable access to services. Through her clinical training, Avery has experience providing early intervention services to young children with autism and conducting special education evaluations in school settings. As a graduate assistant, she supports Baylor’s School Psychology Autism Research Collaboration (*sparc) lab, where she contributes to research focused on improving culturally informed autism assessment.
