Hosted by the Texas Campaign, expert speakers include Nick Winges-Yanez, PhD, LMSW and Dr. Karen Rayne, PhD, CSE. Nick works at UT's Texas Center for Disability Studies as the project manager for Texas Sibling Leadership and coordinates the Disability Studies program with UT Austin. Her work focuses on the historical construction of intellectual disability through the concept of sexuality. She has written publications and facilitates workshops on sexuality and intellectual disability and the importance of wellness, education, and advocacy in this area. Karen serves as Executive Director of UN|HUSHED, an organization with international reach dedicated to creating and implementing the highest quality sexuality education curricula possible.
