The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences in partnership with the Texas Child Mental Health Clinical Programs and the Autism Consortium of Texas present Navigating New Pathways for Autism research with speaker Helen Tager-Flusberg, Ph.D.
Helen Tager-Flusberg received her bachelor of science in psychology from University College London and her doctorate in experimental psychology from Harvard University. Since 2001, she has been at Boston University, where she is now Professor Emerita in the Department of Psychological & Brain Sciences and Director of the Center for Autism Research Excellence.
Tager-Flusberg has devoted her career to conducting research on autism and related neurodevelopmental disorders, exploring phenotypic variability within and across disorders; investigating developmental and intervention-based changes in language and social cognition using behavioral and brain imaging methodologies; and developing new measures to assess language.
