Presented by Farah Ladha, M.S., C.G.C, Certified Genetic Counselor of Molecular and Human Genetics  at  Baylor College of Medicine attendees of this webinar will understand the Texas Newborn Screening program for Cystic Fibrosis, discuss the role of genetic testing in diagnosing Cystic Fibrosis, and describe medical management and identify support resources for children with Cystic Fibrosis.

Joining Ms. Ladha will be Laura Buckner, M.Ed, LPC/Program Manager Texas Center for Disability Studies at UT Austin.  She will present on person-centered practices for people who work with children with Cystic Fibrosis.

The series is presented collaboratively by the University of Texas Center for Disability Studies, Baylor College of Medicine, Texas Children's Hospital and the Department of State Health Services.

Texas Children’s Hospital is accredited with distinction as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. This series awards up to 5.0 contact hours (1.0 contact hours for each session attended).
