Senior Outreach Program Coordinator

E4Texas Program

Kathleen (Kat) Hernandez is the Senior Outreach Program Coordinator for the E4Texas program. She leads outreach efforts, working closely with community partners, non-profits, and schools to recruit potential students and expand program partnerships.  Kat is dedicated to ensuring that E4Texas students have access to the resources and support they need to succeed in their academic and professional pursuits.

Kat holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation Therapy from California State University, and she is currently studying to attain her Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) certification. She brings over 5 years of experience in program coordination and community outreach, with a passion for promoting inclusion and equal access to resources to improve the quality of life for underserved and at-risk populations.

In her free time, Kat enjoys all forms of outdoor recreation, especially hiking and camping with her husband and two dogs. She also loves traveling, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
